Reading time: 2 – 2 minutes

Wow! Can you believe it is already December and 2008 is coming to a close?!? For me it’s been a great year as I have become aware of beliefs that were holding me back and even more importantly, of what I want to create as I move forward. Would you like to join me in taking some time to reflect and record your thoughts about the past year?

The following questions will help clarify the learning, the successes and the meaning of the past year. Use them in whatever way fits with your style and schedule. You can write your answers down or just ponder them as you go about your day. You can spend time discussing them with your friends and family or contemplate by yourself with a journal. When I answered them this morning, it took me about 15 minutes.

Feel free to share your answers in the comment box or you could email your answers to me for feedback. If you wish, you can even set up an coaching call with me to discuss them. Whatever works for you. Here you go…

  • Looking back at the past year, what words describe the overall theme for you?
  • What one personal quality did you most develop in the past year? (For example: patience, boldness, courage,  integrity, humor, etc.)
  • What were your three biggest wins this past year?
  • What were the top three lessons you learned?

I’ll have another blog posting at the beginning of January to look ahead to what you would like to create in 2009. In the meantime, have a great holiday season.
