		<description>Wow!  What a powerful lesson we can all learn from this very touching story.  As a long-time public school teacher, I can tell you that there are a lot of hurting kids and parents out there.  It doesn&#039;t take a lot of time out of one&#039;s day to smile or say a few encouraging words to someone who seems discouraged.  And, of course, we all need to occasionally re-evaluate our view of &quot;what makes a day successful.&quot;  Instead of counting the number of items we&#039;ve checked off our &quot;to do&quot; list, we could count the number of times we stopped to really listen to other people and communicated &quot;You are important, and I appreciate you.&quot;  Now, THAT would surely be a successful day!</description>
