You knew what you wanted (and knew if you weren&#039;t getting it, you could call someone else). What an evolution of emotional intelligence!  

You can easily tell when a person is reacting based on their own judgement, not by tuning into your needs. Having not read the book, I&#039;m probably preaching to the choir here and I apologize.  

The first thing anyone should ask is: &quot;So where does that put you? What&#039;s the next step? or How can I help you with this?&quot; and then respond.
